Modular design
With the unique modular mast system, only the top section is customized in length.
The Vectura mast concept of four modules that are combined to make masts of various heights, with only the top module being customized in length. The tapered design of the mast is a unique feature, securing the benefits of reduced flexing of the mast during positioning and a lower centre of gravity. The resulting lower overall weight improves acceleration and energy efficiency.
Masts are fabricated in sections and mast ends are machined to ensure straightness when assembled. The length of sections allows shipment on standard trailers or in 40' containers. On site the mast is simply off-loaded and assembled. The mast sections are bolted, avoiding distortional stresses associated with welding.
