Cold store capability
Cold stores, typically down to -30°C/-22°F, and chill stores are ideal applications for automation. Swisslog-Accalon has delivered a large number of SRMs operating in cold stores and has standard specifications for these requirements. Deep-freeze conditions have an impact on virtually all aspects of the design; materials used in electrical cabling, electric and electronic components, oils and lubricants, the performance of electric motors, arrangements to facilitate service - even the steel used in deep-freeze SRMs is different!
